3 Day Open Studio - Raglan Arts Weekend 28th - 30th January

Hi everyone, just letting you know we are now all set up for the Raglan Arts Weekend. There'll be plenty of bargains as well as the latest prints, paintings and photographs. Starting this coming Saturday we'll be open 10am - 5pm through to Monday, and even with the promise of some sunny weather.... Soul Gallery Show, Barton St. Hamilton

Here are some of Jane's latest print editions being admired in Soul Gallery in Hamilton. Jane has just had a very successful show there of new editions with the 55cm sized square botanical series flying out the door in the hands of avid buyers. Her work draws inspiration from the NZ environment, as well as rich fabrics, embroideries and art history - resulting in pieces with a refreshing vibrance and a distinct ‘kiwi’ feel. "People often ask me where the original painting is because they think they are looking at reproduction prints with this series, but there is no one-off 'original'. After 6 month’s work my new prints are ready for spring so I'm having an exhibition opening September 9 to celebrate the new season at Heritage Gallery. The show includes 4 original watercolours plus some of the prints I have designed using these botanical paintings. This year I have produced a range of prints from abstract (my first love!) to realistic (NZ flora and fauna), plus a series I call REX RETRO, inspired by the fabulous collages of the late Rex Ray.
